How to Measure for Artificial Grass

So you’ve decided to install artificial grass that’s fantastic. Now your first step will be to measure the area that you want to turf, don’t worry it’s really easy. Just follow our simple steps and you’ll know exactly how much grass you’re going to need. If you would like any help please feel free to call us in the office and we can talk you through any questions.

One point to consider when measuring or laying the turf is to ensure that the grass pile points towards your house. If you’re the independent type and want to do everything yourself we’ve built an easy to use Plan My Project section so you can create a shopping list of everything you are going to need to create the ultimate low maintenance lawn area.

First of all measure the overall length and width of the area that you want to turf. Always allow for the widest part of your lawn and cut away the areas.

Namgrass artificial grass comes in rolls that are 2m or 4m wide. So if your garden is 5.2 m wide and 6m long you will need 2 rolls: 4mx6m and 2mx6m. Our grasses can be cut to order in increments of 10cm to limit unnecessary wastage.
