Taking the class room out doors for the children of Kiddi Caru Day Nursery. No more mud mud pit or maintenance problems.

The Brief

The team at Kiddi Caru Day Nursery love nothing more than to see their children running around outside and enjoying themselves, sadly due to the wonderful British weather the children spent quite a lot of time stuck indoors unable to go out and play. When they did it was only a matter of time before the outdoor area was turned into a mud pit. A nightmare to maintain and lots of muddy footprints – not ideal. That’s where the team at Mango Landscapes came in.

The Solution

They worked with the carers at Kiddi Caru Day Nursery to design and install a new artificial grass* area to let the children do what they do best – run around like crazy having lots of fun, only now they can do this without tearing up the turf. Rather than just turf the whole area, Mango Landscapes wanted to keep some of the natural features of the play area. To adhere to certain requirements a natural turf section was kept at the top of the play area, they also developed a design to incorporate all the trees that gave the playground its own distinctive and natural feel.

The results

A happy team at Kiddi Caru Day Nursery and lots of happy children who can now go out and play no matter what the weather is doing…so long as they wrap up nice and warm that is! *The grass used was Namgrass Elise.
